Another event we are hosting at the Bellmore Movies is the 15th year for the Long Island International Film Festival. July 12th kicks off the first set of film blocks that continue until the end of the festival on July 19th. Tickets are available at the box office or by going online at www.ovationtix.com and putting the event title in the search box. There is a convenience fee charged online but of course, not at the box office.  Audience participation in voting and the Q&A’s that follow the film blocks add to the experience.

This week we have two new movies at Malverne and one new one at Bellmore.  Here goes:
“For Greater Glory”  Rated R, 2 hours 25 minutes.  The critics did not give this film good ratings but the audience ratings are very high.  Starring Andy Garcia, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Rubén Blades, Peter O’Toole and Eva Longoria.  An epic film about the 1920’s Cristero War and its impact on 20th Century North America.  Distributed by ARC Entertainment.
