Howdy… and once again, Happy New Year to everyone.
This week we have one new film at our Malverne and at our Bellmore we have a new offering even though it’s an “Imitation”…and…we’re holding our breath waiting for the Golden Globes this Sunday evening and the Academy Award nominations next Thursday morning.  Here goes for this week with Malverne first:
“Two Days, One Night”  Rated PG-13, 95 minutes.  SUBTITLED produced in French and starring the wonderful Marion Cotillard who portrays Sandra, a young woman who lost her factory job due to a hospital stay.  In order to get her job back she must convince her co-workers to give up their bonuses. Distributed by IFC Films.

“The Imitation Game”  Rated PG-13, 1 hour 53 minutes.  Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) who led a brilliant team to crack Germany’s Enigma code during World War II.  Co-starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode.  The brilliant team of codebreakers broke this film into the #1 spot again this past weekend! Distributed by The Weinstein Company.

Distributed by Sony Classics.

Starting next week at our Malverne Cinema we have “A Most Violent Year”  from A24 Film Distribution.

Plaza Theatrical Productions is on our stage this weekend with “Peter Pan” on Saturday, January 10th @ 11am and on Sunday, January 11th @ 1pm.  The same times will be offered next weekend.
For their next mainstage presentation Plaza Theatrical Productions will be offering“Plaza Suite” scheduled for January 25th and February 1st.
