This week we have some more changes in film offerings and we’ll start with our Malverne Cinema first:
“The Intern”  Rated PG-13, 2 hours 1 minute.  A widowed retired businessman (Robert De Niro) becomes a senior intern at an online clothing fashion site, working for the young founder (Anne Hathaway).  Written & Directed by Nancy Meyers.

“Suffragette”  Rated PG-13, 1 hour 46 minutes.  Drama that tracks the story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement who were willing to lose everything in their fight for equality.  Starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and the wonderful Meryl Streep.

“Miss You Already”  Rated PG-13, 1 hour 47 minutes.  The friendship between two life-long girlfriends who cannot picture life without each other is put to the test when one starts a family and the other falls ill.  Starring Drew Barrymore, Toni Collette, Dominic Cooper and Jacqueline Bisset.

“Truth”  Rated R, 2 hours 5 minutes.  Newsroom drama detailing the 2004 CBS “60 Minutes” report investigating then-President George W. Bush’s military service and the subsequent firestorm of criticism that cost anchor Dan Rather (Robert Redford) and producer Mary Mapes (Cate Blanchett) their careers.  Also starring Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace, Elisabeth Moss, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach.

“Meet The Patels”  Rated PG, 88 minutes.  Documentary by Ravi Patel and his sister Geeta.  A laugh-out-loud real life romantic comedy about Ravi, an almost-30-year-old Indian-American who enters a love triangle between the woman of his dreams…and his parents!!  This film will make you chuckle!

“Friends And Romans”  Unrated, 98 minutes.  A film of epic Italian comedic proportions!!  Starring Michael Rispoli (of “The Sopranos” fame who also co-wrote the screenplay), Annabella Sciorra and many other familiar faces.  Tired of being pigeonholed into mobster roles, our lead sets out to be taken seriously by staging a production of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” and enlists the help of his mob movie actor buddies to pull it off.

“Labyrinth Of Lies”  Rated R, 2 hours 3 minutes.  In German with English Subtitles.  Hold onto your hats with this one!  Realizing that some Germans claim that they never heard the expression ‘Auschwitz’ and upon learning that many former Nazis returned to their pre-war lives with no penalty, an ambitious young German prosecutor vows to bring them to justice 20 years later.

This Saturday, November 14th @ 8pm comes Diamond – One Hot Night – a tribute to Neil with a sound, look and show like you’ve never seen before that will knock you out!!  Tickets to this show are $40 per person.
Back by popular demand are The Edwards Twins – Masters Of Celebrity Illusions on Saturday, November 21st @ 2pm & 8pm!!  Tickets are $45 each.
