At our Bellmore Movies we are proud to present the following new film:
“Remember”  Rated R, 95 minutes.  Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau play Zev and Max who both survived Auschwitz and are both now living in the same nursing home.  With Max’s wheelchair-bound guidance, Zev (who is dealing with the recent death of his wife and memory loss) sets out on a mission to find the former Nazi responsible for the deaths of their family members.

Plaza Theatrical Productions will be performing the timeless musical “The Wizard Of Oz” this Saturday, March 19th @ 11am and it will be running through the next school break, with one Sunday performance @12pm on March 20th.

*This Thursday, March 17th, the New York Film Critics Series is back with “The Confirmation” starring Clive Owen as a down-on-his-luck carpenter forced to watch his 8-year-old son with whom there isn’t much of a relationship.  Co-starring Maria Bello, Matthew Modine and Patton Oswalt.  This film is rated PG-13 with a running time of 90 minutes.  There is a 7pm pre-show and the actual screening of the film begins at 7:30, immediately followed by a Q&A with the cast.  Tickets are $18 for this advance screening, unless you have your discount admission tickets from the last screening signed by our staff.

“The Revenant”  Rated R, 2 hours 36 minutes.  Winner of 3 Academy Awards!!  During a fur trading expedition in the 1820s, a frontiersman (Best Actor winner Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead in the wilderness by his hunting team.  He must then utilize his survival skills to find a way back home to his family.  Also winner for Best Director and Best Cinematography.

Whew…what an Awards night!!  So proud that we offered many of the nominated films and that many of you saw them in our cinemas.  As far as our Oscar Contest, we had only one winner!  This is a first!  A large majority of the entries did have three correct and we feel the spoiler was the Best Picture category.
