This week at our Malverne Cinema we have one new film opening late nite and there will be a Q&A with its Producers who grew up in our area but now reside in LA and have become successful in their fields.  Here goes:

*The two shows of “Spotlight” & “Brooklyn” @ 10:45am only on Saturday are special shows open to the public for $6 per person.  This Saturday is the Incorporated Village of Malverne’s Annual Holiday Lighting.  We’ve scheduled early and late shows and made the extra early ones bargains!!  They close off the streets later in the afternoon, so people have to find their way in through Church Street.  Or, tell the people guiding cars that you are here to see a movie and hopefully they’ll show you the correct way in.  We are open and still do well during this tradition!!
There are two FREE Santa Movies this Saturday morning, sponsored by the Malverne Merchant and Professional Association and our Theatre.  Come see “Minions” – the animated feature focusing on the little yellow guys from the two “Despicable Me” movies.  Rated PG, 91 minutes.  Featuring the voices of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney and Steve Carell.  Santa will ring in the shows beginning @ 10:30am & 12:00pm.

The next film for the NY Film Critics Series is scheduled for July with title pending.  For more info about the Series log onto http://nyfilmcriticsseries.com/.  Our pre-shows now start @ 7pm and the film begins @ 7:30pm.  Tickets can be purchased in advance on their website but there will be a convenience fee, or you can just purchase tickets at the box office the night of the screening.  Tickets for these advance screenings are $18 per person.

The North Shore Towers Cinema is located in the center building – called Beaumont – of a trio of buildings you see off the Lakeville Road South Exit 25 off the Northern State Parkway.  It is located just a few hundred feet from the Nassau County border in Floral Park in Queens.  In fact, it’s believed that one of the golf holes in their beautiful golf course is actually in Nassau County.  That’s how close it is!!
