We have the honor at our Malverne Cinema of being the only theatre selected on Long Island to participate in the new New York Film Critics Series. Trailers and posters are up and running at the cinema to fill you in or you can log onto http://www.nyfilmcriticsseries.com/Locations.html for further information. They are requesting we gather email addresses with full names for a signup list. Tickets are $18 dollars each for this once a month series. January 28th will mark our first event with NYFCs. However, it is pre-recorded due to the blizzard on the 21st. These films will all be shown only once and all will not have been shown to the public anywhere prior to this event. If you have cell phones, the simulcast does normally accept questions tweeted to them. We’ve seen this happen already when we saw “Nebraska” months ago. However, this time it’s impossible. Advance ticket sales will soon be available. Please visit the website to learn more and we hope to see you there.
