This week we begin the experience of also operating the North Shore Towers Cinema.  But don’t worry…even though mom & dad have a third child, we will still pay attention to the two eldest.  And this coming from both of us being third in line in our own families!!

Last Saturday, December 6th, Larry Chance & The Earls were “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” @ 8pm. “Remember Then” was their signature song and when they sang it, the audience (and me too) was on their feet!! A great bunch of guys. I didn’t know that one of the original members was drafted and never came home from the War. They dedicated a song to him and it was a lovely emotional moment. They do it at every concert just for him. If anyone on this email list attended I’d love to hear your feedback on this show.

Plaza Theatrical Productions for children is on our stage this weekend with “Scrooge” on Sunday, December 14th. Performance time is 1pm. On Saturdays, December 20th & 27th as well as on the 28th, 30th & 31st, Plaza Theatrical Productions will be proud to present “Annie Jr.” @ 11am with the exception of the 28th when it will be presented @ 1pm.

This week at our Bellmore Movies we have “St. Vincent” (but for only 5 more days) Rated PG-13, 1 hour 42 minutes. This comedy stars Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Naomi Watts as a pregnant stripper. Melissa plays a single mom raising her son in Brooklyn and she needs someone to watch him. Unfortunately, the only one around is her neighbor (Bill Murray of course) who has a penchant for gambling and booze. If you need a good laugh and some food for thought, this film has it all. Distributed by The Weinstein Company.

On Black Friday, November 28th there is a free screening of “The LEGO Movie” sponsored by Santa Claus and the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce. On Friday, November 21st @ 8pm, Friend Entertainment and the Bellmore Movies are proud to present a live tribute concert – “Meat Loaf: All Revved Up!”. On December 5th we have “Fleetwood Macked” – another tribute concert, to that wonderful group Fleetwood Mac. For their mainstage presentation, Plaza Theatrical Productions will be offering “Plaza Suite” scheduled for January 25th and February 1st of 2015.

Simmons, is relentless in his pursuit to make him the best but that could either make him or break him.  Co-starring Paul Reiser whom we haven’t seen on the big or little screen in quite a while.
