Attention all Bruce Springsteen Fans! The Tribute Band “Badlands” will be performing at the Bellmore Movies on Friday, October 10th @ 8pm. Tickets are now on sale by calling 631-698-9696 (reserved seating).

Over at our Bellmore Movies we are opening the documentary “Cave Of Forgotten Dreams” instead of at Malverne as originally planned. A beautiful cinematic experience brought to us by Werner Herzog (“Grizzly Man”) about the Chauvet Caves in France that have the oldest artwork known to the modern world, drawn by the hands of early man dating back 30,000 years ago.
 
Our other film scheduled for this week “L’Amour Fou” will be held back a bit.

Over at our Bellmore Movies we continue to hold “The Conspirator”.  This weekend, Plaza Theatrical Productions is back on our Mainstage with “Bye Bye Birdie” @ 2pm on Sunday.  Tickets can be obtained by calling 516-599-6870.
 
Coming soon to the Malverne Cinema is “L’Amour Fou”, a documentary from IFC about Yves Saint Laurent produced in French.  Also scheduled is “Cave of Forgotten Dreams” from IFC and “Harvest” from Monterey Media starring Robert Loggia.
 
 
Please note, due to huge expenses we regrettably have a ticket price increase effective May 27th.  We will still have our bargain day on Wednesday of $5.50 per person.  Use that to the fullest!  Our adult price will become $9.50 and senior/child or shows scheduled prior to 5pm will be raised to $7.50.  Not a huge increase and still below some of our surrounding movie theatres.  IF you have unused gift certificates they will still be accepted, but you will be charged the .50 cent difference.  Just wanted everyone to be aware of that.  We’ve held off as long as we could.  I hope everyone understands.
