The reason for the late night on Saturday is due to the “Lighting of Malverne” celebration taking place in the Village.  The parking will be difficult from 5pm to 9pm.  You can get into town and park in the rear but you just have to let them know up by where Ocean meets Hempstead Avenue.  The Auxiliary Police will let you by upon request to go to the movies.  We’ve cleared this.

Along with that, there are two free movie showings for children.  One at 10:30am and the other at 12 noon.  “Despicable Me” will be shown along with a visit from Santa.  It’s free and it’s fun.  We’ve been doing it for years.  This is sponsored by the Malverne Merchants & Professional Association.

Over at our Bellmore Movies we continue to hold the film “Fair Game” starring Naomi Watts and Sean Penn.  Also there this Sunday @ 7pm, The Wild Women of Comedy are back!!  “Kit & Anne’s Christmas Spectacular” with a portion of the proceeds going to Long Island Cares.  Tickets are $20 general admission and are available at the Bellmore box office.

Have a wonderful week and get ready for some powerhouse films soon to be hitting the Malverne screens!  “Black Swan” and “The King’s Speech” among them!!
